Fibromas are benign tumours in the mouth.
usually caused by chronic local irritation.
The fibroma is found on the inner cheeks, lips, tongue, or along the gums
less than a centimeter in diameter with a lighter color than the surrounding tissue.
Although the irritation fibroma typically disappears after the frictional cause is removed, some fibromas/fibrous proliferations (growth of the tissues) are not associated with chronic oral trauma.
If you notice a growth or bump in your mouth check with your dentist to see if any treatment or removal is needed.
