Restorative Dentistry Services

A cracked tooth or a gap where a tooth used to be can make eating and smiling feel more complicated than they should. At Cascade Dental Centre, restorative dentistry is about bringing comfort and function back, so your mouth works the way you expect it to. We start by listening to what has changed, then explain what’s happening and which options could help, with no pressure to decide on the spot. That’s smart dentistry in practice: a plan built around your teeth and your comfort, with care that continues long after the treatment is finished.

Dental Crowns

A cracked or heavily filled tooth can make you hesitant to bite into anything firm. A dental crown fits over the remaining tooth like a protective cap, shielding it from further damage while restoring its shape and strength. We often recommend crowns when decay or a fracture is too extensive for a filling, and after root canal therapy to seal and protect the treated tooth. If an older crown has loosened or worn out, we can also look at whether it can be repaired or needs to be replaced, and we’ll go over the material options either way.

Dental Bridges

Even one missing tooth can change the way you chew, and the teeth beside the gap may slowly drift toward it. A dental bridge fills that space with a replacement tooth anchored to the natural teeth on either side, or to implants, so you can eat comfortably and smile with confidence again. Since a bridge is fixed in place, there’s nothing to take out at night. We check the health of the supporting teeth first, then show how a bridge compares with an implant or a partial denture so you can choose what suits your situation.

Dental Implants

Losing a tooth can be unsettling, especially when you’re unsure which replacement will feel natural. A dental implant replaces the root of the missing tooth with a small post placed in the jawbone, which then supports a custom crown or a larger restoration. Treatment happens in stages, with healing time in between, so we’ll outline what to expect and how long each stage usually takes. Factors such as gum health and smoking are reviewed during your assessment, and we’ll tell you honestly whether an implant is a good option. Like any surgical procedure, implants carry risks, and we’ll go over them with you.

Dentures

Wearing dentures, or facing the possibility of them, can feel like a big adjustment, and it’s natural to worry about comfort and appearance. Dentures are removable replacement teeth: complete dentures replace all the teeth on an arch, while partial dentures fill the gaps when some natural teeth remain. New dentures often feel strange and slightly sore at first while your mouth adapts, and we’ll make adjustments until they fit comfortably. If your current dentures have become loose or uncomfortable, let us know and we’ll talk through ways to improve the fit.

Rebuilding a smile works best when the plan is made together, one step at a time. Whether you’re dealing with a single tooth or several, we’ll explain each option and the stages involved, and give you a realistic picture of the timing and cost before you decide anything.

Extremely child friendly

Dr. Findlay has been my dentist for almost three decades, since as long as I can remember. My husband is also a longtime patient at Cascade Dental. We have both always received excellent care from Dr. Findlay and Dr. Ginnan, as well as the rest of the caring staff. The office and staff are extremely child friendly, our three kids actually look forward to going in for their dental appointments.
